About Tebing
Tebing (Indonesian for "cliff") is a free 2D rock climbing game you can play in your phone or computer browser. It uses just two buttons: one for the left hand and one for the right.
Your feet find footholds on their own, the rope clips automatically to every bolt you pass, and the belayer at the bottom of the cliff catches you when you fall. You have one job: manage both hands so you reach the top before your strength runs out.
What you can play
- An interactive one-minute tutorial for new players.
- 10 levels, from Sand Hill (45 m) to Roof of the World (150 m). Every level has its own rock, sky, and hazards. Earn up to 3 stars per level by climbing without falling.
- Daily challenge: a new route every day, the same for all players. Finish on consecutive days to keep your 🔥 streak.
- Endless: a cliff with no top that keeps growing and getting harder. With 3 lives, climb as high as you can and get onto your high score list.
- Versus the computer at Easy, Medium, and Hard. The computer uses exactly the same physics as you.
- Online versus with up to 10 players in one room. Just share the room code or an invite link with friends.
- Daily missions & badges: three new tasks every day and 16 badges to collect.
- Best-run ghost: chase a recording of your own fastest climb on every level.
- World ranking for the daily challenge and Endless.
- Style: choose the color of your helmet, shirt, and rope. Unlock them with stars, streaks, missions, or Endless heights.
Built around real rock climbing
Tebing doesn't fake climbing with a simple jump button. The climber's body is physically simulated: arms pull the body up (lock-offs), legs support and push, and arm strength drains if you hang too long without footholds. Some things you will meet:
- Holds with different shapes: comfortable jugs, thin edges, rounded slopers that tire you quickly, and pockets.
- Hands can't cross. To switch sides, the climber matches: two hands on one hold, then the other hand moves.
- Dynos, jumps to distant holds, and two-hand jumps.
- Falls like lead climbing: the rope catches you at the last bolt you clipped, then you are lowered to a checkpoint.
- Natural hazards: wind, falling rock, rain, fog, rock roofs, ice, and wasp nests.

No account, works offline
You don't need to sign up. Progress, stars, records, and style choices are stored on your own device; only world ranking scores are sent to a server, and you can turn that off. Tebing can also be installed on your phone's home screen like an app. After opening it once online, solo levels, the daily challenge, and Endless keep working without internet. Versus mode needs an internet connection. Tebing is available in English and Indonesian.
Made with
Tebing is built with Phaser 3 and the Matter.js physics engine. There isn't a single image or sound file in the game: the cliff, holds, sky, climber, and every sound effect are generated by code while the game runs. That keeps the game small and quick to load.
Free, supported by ads
Tebing is free to play. To support development, the game may show ads during breaks in solo mode, for example after a fall or after reaching the top, as well as rewarded ads that you choose to watch. Ads never appear in the middle of a versus race. Data and ads are explained in the privacy policy.
Developer
Tebing is made by an independent developer. Feedback, bug reports, and partnership offers are very welcome. Get in touch through the contact page.
